Teaching Philosophy: Yeung’s teaching goals are to facilitate students’ musical learning while supporting their emotional well-being and nurturing their personal growth.
Methodology: Yeung’s teaching approach combines academically grounded music pedagogy with insights from Jungian psychological theory, integrating musical learning with students’ psychological and personal development.
Educational Leadership
Yeung’s experience in educational leadership spans music education, teacher education, and academic communication. Between 2010 and 2020, She served as Music Director of a music school in Hong Kong, providing strategic and academic leadership across teaching, curriculum development, teacher support, and programme delivery.
She currently collaborates with the University of Chichester as an academic translator for its PG Cert and MA programmes in music teaching, translating academic and pedagogical materials for Chinese-speaking educators. Through these roles, she has developed extensive experience in curriculum development, teacher mentoring, cross-cultural academic communication, and the leadership of music education initiatives.
Professional Experience
- Music and Piano Mentoring: Over 1,000 students mentored in piano since 1990, supporting their musical development and individual learning journeys.
- Teacher Supervision: Over 15 years of experience supervising and mentoring piano teachers, supporting their professional development and pedagogical practice.
